Our afterschool program offers GMS students a wide variety of exciting learning opportunities at the end of the formal school day. Students may select programming that meets their individual interests and expands their horizons.
Our afterschool program offers GMS students a wide variety of exciting learning opportunities at the end of the formal school day. Students may select programming that meets their individual interests and expands their horizons.
Students can participate in individual classes ranging from chess, to STEM, cooking or Theatre. Classes will run from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m., with extended care available from 3:45 to 5:30 p.m.

Phys. Ed Frenzy
Join us for challenging gym games that keep your heart racing and muscles growing while having lots of fun!
Theatre Club
Go for an in-depth journey into the art of Theatre! In this club you will hone your improvisation skills through fun games, explore the magical world of puppetry, take trips to other countries to learn about their theatre customs, and MORE!
Soccer Club
Get involved in one of Canada’s most popular sports – soccer! Learn the rules of the game, increase skill levels, create friendships with teammates and, most important, enjoy playing this exciting sport.
The Artist’s Studio
In this exciting course you will step into history by learning about artists like Da Vinci, Monet, Picasso, and Degas, just to name a few! You will also show off your own artistic talents by exploring the different techniques and mediums used by these esteemed artists!

During this fun and interactive program you will expand on your critical thinking skills, build relationships with peers, and play different board games, card games and logic games from all over the world!
Basketball Club
Basketball is a sport that requires concentration, coordination, speed, accuracy and teamwork. Have fun with us and develop these skills while playing many basketball related training games. Enjoy a sport that has been challenging athletes for over a century. Come join the GMS Basketball Club!
Illustrated Short Story Creations
Have you ever wanted to write and illustrate your own book? In this course, you will learn the ins and outs of writing a short story, illustrating a book and the publishing process! Every week you will look at examples of published children’s stories. At the end you will have your very own short story book to share with all!
Floor Hockey Club
Learn the rules and skills involved in this fast-paced game. Practice skills in stick control and playing in different positions.
STEM Discovery
Every week you will use science, technology, engineering and math principals to expand your knowledge of the world around you! You will build simple machines, explore robotics, as well as, design, build and test your own structure!
Jr. Chef Cooking Club
During this exciting cooking club, you will travel around the world trying different culinary delights and expanding your cooking skills. You will also learn about culinary safety and healthy food choices!
Chess Club
Learn the “Game of Kings” and develop skills in strategy and logic. Fun for beginners and more advanced players alike.
Sensational Sculptures
During this class, you will delve into the world of 3D creations. Take a walk through history as you learn about some of the world’s most renowned sculptures and the artists that crafted them. Develop your own sculpting skills as you work with a variety of different mediums to create your own 3D masterpieces!
