Glebe Montessori School Highlights Spring/Summer 2025

Spring is here! With the warm weather comes a ton of fun events happening at Glebe Montessori School, rounding out a terrific 2024-2025 school year!

Carleton University Engineering students will guide the Junior Elementary students through the captivating world of plant growth and pollination; Senior Elementary students will design and construct earthquake-resistant structures during their workshop. Casa students will be joined by a member of the Ottawa Fire Service who will teach the students fire safety and the OFS!

This term, Casa students will visit the Museum of Science and Technology’s inflatable planetarium to learn about the sun and concepts of heat, light, day, and night, as they explore the changing seasons. During a guided tour of the Museum of History, conducted in French, Senior Elementary students will gain an understanding and appreciation of how traditional practices have impacted history in Canada. Junior Elementary students will enjoy a fun day outside at the Mill of Kintail Conservation Area! They will learn about stream ecosystems and animal growth/changes. Ending the school year with a bang, Senior Elementary students will visit Mont Cascade Water Park for a fun-filled day in and around the water.

            Families will be treated to a delicious gourmet meal and will boogie away at GMS’ Annual Dinner and Dance. The end of May will bring about GMS’ Vernissage and Academic Fair, where students will show off their art work and special projects. We will celebrate another successful year at our annual end of year Spring BBQ, where families, students and staff will come together for some fun in the sun!
