Our afterschool program offers children a wide variety of exciting learning opportunities at the end of the formal school day. Students have the opportunity to create personalized after-school programs to meet their interests and expand their horizons. Experts on a variety of subjects instruct the individual classes. Classes will run from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m., with extended care available from 3:45 to 5:30 p.m.
Pick up service by GMS staff is available for students from Mutchmor, First Avenue and Corpus Christi schools.

These fun, interactive courses will advance your language skills through a solid grammatical foundation and essential vocabulary for use in every day conversations.
Drama ~
This lively workshop will introduce students to the world of theatre and engage them in improvisation, acting, movement and voice through various theatre games, poetry and music.
Classic Cartooning ~
Students create animation characters and backgrounds and produce their own cartoon stories in this entertaining workshop presented by an accomplished animator and illustrator.
Creative Cooking ~
For the cooking novice or aficionado, our cooking classes – Dessert Madness and The Science of Cooking – will delight everyone’s gastronomic senses! Students cover the basics, gain culinary expertise for a lifetime and have a grand time creating delicious masterpieces!
3-D Architecture ~
This workshop focuses on fundamental design concepts while building 3-D objects using cardboard. Students deconstruct a drawing, build supporting structures, install joints and connecting points, and add exterior design elements to make exceptional life-like models!
Iron Beading ~
Start with easy projects such as photo frames, note pads and fridge magnets and become an iron-beading expert in this innovative course!
Soccer ~
Get involved in one of Canada’s most popular sports – soccer! Learn the rules of the game, increase skill levels, enjoy the camaraderie of teammates and, most important, have fun playing this exciting sport.
Visual Arts ~
Take a trip through history and experience how art has developed over time. The study of five great periods in art history – Medieval Renaissance, Romanticism, Modern and Contemporary – will reveal the drawing, painting and sculpting techniques used by the masters. Apply these valuable techniques to your own creations!

Got a passion for art? Then this is the course for you! Discover your hidden talents in the exploration of perspective, structure, layout shading, line work, rule of three, proportion and texture!
Knitting, Crochet & Textile Fun ~
Students learn all about knitting and crocheting through easy-to-accomplish projects, such as scarves, hats, bags or clothing for toy bears and dolls. As students develop their talents, projects will become more advanced to suit their individual skill level.
Film Creation ~
Follow in the footsteps of Leonardo DiCaprio and become an actor/producer in your own motion picture. Discover how a movie is made from start to finish, and create your own scenery, props and costumes in this Hollywood-style Film Creation workshop.
Radical Science ~
Our Radical Science Club is sure to bring out the scientist in every child. Through interactive lessons covering the earth, space, chemistry, engineering, taking care of the environment and more… children will experience science like never before!
Kinball ~

Kirigami ~
Kirigami differs from origami, in that you not only fold, but cut paper. Numerous beautiful and elaborate designs can be created through this Japanese art form, from pentagrams to paper airplanes to intricate snowflakes and flowers.
